IBM Lotus has published the 3rd and final Beta of the much anticipated Notes /Domino version 8 yesterday (see also Notes gets Nip/Tuck’ed). Although no official release date has been announced so far, the final product will most likely ship in Q3 of this year.

Notes 8 is built on Eclipse and offers, in addition to the fresh new look, many exciting new features such as: tight integration with Sametime, a RSS reader and a number of built-in productivity applications for documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
